Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, and using Promptery (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

Description of Service

Promptery is a native macOS application that helps users manage prompts and contexts for use with AI/LLM platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and others. The App provides:

• Prompt library with global hotkey access
• Context creation from documents, URLs, and conversations
• Secure, expiring shareable links for contexts
• Optional AI-powered features via add-on subscriptions

Tiers and Pricing

Promptery offers two tiers as one-time purchases:

• Basic ($5 USD) – Unlimited prompts, global hotkeys, tags and categories
• Pro ($19 USD) – All Basic features plus context uploads (PDF, DOCX, URL), secure sharing links, and conversation-to-context

AI Add-ons are optional monthly subscriptions that provide AI credits for prompt optimization and AI-powered context creation:

• Lite ($5/month) – 10 credits
• Plus ($9/month) – 30 credits
• Power ($19/month) – 100 credits

License

Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Promptery on Mac computers associated with your account. This license includes:

• Lifetime access to the purchased tier
• Free updates and improvements within your tier
• Use on multiple Mac devices linked to your account

You may not redistribute, resell, or share access to your Promptery account with others.

User Accounts

Promptery requires a user account authenticated via Google OAuth. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Payment and Refunds

Payments are processed through Polar. Tier purchases are one-time payments with lifetime access. AI Add-on subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time.

Due to the nature of digital products and instant access provided, we generally do not offer refunds for tier purchases. Subscription refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Promptery only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the App to store or share illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Share your account credentials or transfer your license
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Shared Links

Pro users can create shareable links for contexts. You are responsible for the content you share and acknowledge that:

• Links are accessible to anyone with the URL until they expire or are revoked
• You must not share confidential information without proper authorization
• We may remove content that violates these terms

Disclaimer of Warranties

Promptery is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of outputs from third-party AI services.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Promptery and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the application.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Promptery after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
